What if my dancer misses a class?
Your dancer can make up a missed class by attending another class in their same level or a level below. Please make sure you let the instructor know you are just making up a class and not joining the class at that time.
Is there a recital?
Absolutely! Our dancers and staff work very hard, and this is their time to show off what they have learned throughout the season. Our recital date is typically the second Saturday of May each year. It will be held at the Miller Performing Arts Theater. The past few years we have had to hold 2 separate shows and we are planning that again. Each class only performs in one show so if your dancer is just in one class you can plan on just one performance. We will start measuring for costumes in early January and bill those fees with February tuition. There is a recital fee billed per family which is $20. This fee will be billed with March tuition. Recital tickets have been $10 each in the past and we expect them to be the same again this season. We will also have a day prior to the show where we have a photographer come in and take both group and individual pictures. More info on that will be provided as we get closer to that time.
What holiday activities do you have?
The studio plans to have an activity for Halloween. This will happen earlier in October and will just be done at the studio. More info to come on that as we get closer. We will also plan to participate in the annual Downtown Living Windows & JC Christmas Parade. These two events should be the first Friday night and first Saturday in December. More info on these as well once we get closer. These activities are free for our dancers and are always a fun time.
Is the studio a clean environment for my dancer?
We try very hard to keep the studio clean. We ask that there is absolutely no food or drink in the building. Water bottles are permitted for the dancers in the classroom. Please help us out by keeping snacks and other drinks out of the building.
What are you drop off and pick up expectations?
Parents are welcome to but certainly not required to stay at the studio while their dancer is in class. We do ask that you please be on time to pick up your dancer when they come out of class though.
Will my dancer have pictures and/or videos shared on social media?
We love to show off our studio and dancers on social media. If this is NOT for you and you do not want us to post any pictures of your dancer on our social media, please make sure you send us an email notating your wishes. Please know that we would never post any picture that would be in poor taste.
Monthly tuition is due the first class of the month. Monthly tuition covers 3 weeks of classes. If there are 4 or 5 weeks in a month those weeks are free! Here is a breakdown of our tuition costs.
- 25-minute class (Little Dancer) - $32 monthly
- 45 -55-minute class (Combos & Petites – Seniors) - $47 monthly
- Additional classes per student or family member are $25.
- So, if you had one dancer that took 3 classes, say Ballet, Jazz & Tap, you would pay $47 for the first class and then $25 X 2 for the additional 2 classes making your monthly tuition due $97. There is a yearly registration fee of $25 per family billed your first month of class. So, in the scenario above where you normally owe $97 each month, your first month would be $122.
At Elite we only accept cash and checks. Sorry no cards of any type and no online payments.
However, those of you that would like to pay online can set that up directly with your bank and have them mail your payment to us at Elite Performing Arts, 724 Heisinger, JC, MO 65109. Please add your dancers name to the memo field.
What should my dancer wear?

If you purchase elsewhere, we ask for pink ballet slippers for girls, black for boys and black tap shoes for both girls and boys. Hair should be pulled up out of the face.
